About - Shawn Pchajek

Shawn Pchajek is a passionate therapist and accredited teacher trained in the traditional Northern style of Thai Massage from Chiang Mai, Thailand.  Originally from Canada, and living in Japan for the last 6 years, Shawn studied at the world renowned ITM -Institute of Thai Massage- in Chiang Mai, under Master Chongkol “JOHN” Setthakorn in 2005 and again in 2006.  Somewhat disillusioned and feeling a loss of purpose in his work as a carpenter Bikes made to rideand house designer in Japan, it was at ITM that Shawn found his true calling and passion for helping others.

Before leaving ITM School, Shawn was honoured to receive a very special gift from the senior ITM staff.  The gift of a Thai name was given to Shawn based on his birth date and representative of his compassionate, giving character.  Shawn is now known to the staff of ITM School as well as his close friends in Chiangmai as – Thapakorn.   Shawn continues to return to Chiang Mai periodically to further his studies and practice more advanced techniques while building his clientele in Yokohama, Japan.

When Shawn is free and needs to get away, you can often find him riding his motorcyle through the many twisting mountain roads of Japan with some of his friends.  If he is not carving up the road on his BMW, you may also find him on the sea – recently studying for his yachting license and learning to sail.
